Target Market

Hello, in this post I would like to share with you what I've learnt from the last lecture. This will disscuss the topic of my project's target market in terms of its: psychographics, demographics, sociographics, geographics and the behaviours. I will also decide today how my project will be distributed to reach the audience.

To begin with I will first explain to you what is the target market.

According to Cambridge Dictionary (2021) the target market is 'the group of people that a company wants to sell its products or services to.' 

The Economic Times (2021) definition explains that 'Target market is the end consumer to which the company wants to sell its end products too.'

In general this shows that the target market is a specific group of people or an individual, who the product the company creates aims at. In my point of a view my target market will help me find my specific audience I wish to focus my project on.



1. DEMOGRAPHICS
  • Age: 15 - 70 years old
  • Gender: female and male
  • Race: unspecified
  • Occupation: unspecified
  • Number of Children: applies to families with an only child or more children or childless individuals
  • Income: Low
  • Education: All education levels
  • Marital Status: single, divorced, married

2. PSYCHOGRAPHICS
  • Values - Health, Family, Harmony, Balance
  • Interests -  want to quit smoking, drinking or cut down on the drugs
  • Needs - to be healthy, to persuade a healthy lifestyle, to not be addicted to anything
  • Lifestyle - people who smoke, drink or who live with the addicts 
  • Hobbies - sport lovers, volunteers
3. SOCIOGRAPHICS
  • Personal needs - want to change their and their families lives , want to become healthier, want to quit drugs
  • Friends - people who share the common problem
  • Personal attitudes - positive attitude (to learn new things)
  • Passions - spending time with family, volunteering, working out
4. GEOGRAPHICS
  • Geographic location: any region with addicted to cigarettes and alcohol and their families
  • Culture attitudes: open-mined and respectful , able to understand social problems
  • Different needs depending on the location: unspecified
5. BEHAVIOURS
  • reason/occasion to use/purchase: when thinking to change your habits or when seen on the internet
  • how often use or buy products: rarely, only when needed
  • how long decide to use or buy goods: usually no more than a few seconds
  • where the customer buy or use goods: online on the portfolio website where it will be posted
My project will reach the audience by being shared to my relatives, friends and their families through a my website link.
