Research class exercise

Hello!

In today's post I would like to response to the very fist research on my blog, which was 'Photographic Sequences college No.1'. I am going to consider ideas and key thoughts on a topic and the main part of an every research: critical commentary and evaluation used to show the good understanding of a term given.

The most important questions related to the response:

What have you researched?

In that research (screenshots down below) I have researched the British artist Eadweard Muybridge
( 1830-1904) the one of the greatest photographic thinkers of all time.

How have you done it?

In the post I have gone through his masterpieces and focused on photos portraying humans and animals in motion also called 'sequential images' because they pictured how the model movement in a right order an action shot after another action sh
ot.

What facts did you discover?

The facts that I have discover is that that artist pushed the limits of his camera's possibilities and thanks to that he became a genius.

What new conclusion did you establish?

The conclusions I have established that the Muybridge had an innovative perspective on a topic of a humans and animals photos. His masterpieces were original and suprising, but probably confusing for some the 19th century photographers and viewers.

Which and how many sources did you use?

In my first research I use a narrow range of available useful sources an did not give some details about life and masterpieces of Eadweard Muybridge. Even though, I added a video ( which was referenced incorrectly) about the photographer and some of his photos, my final results represent my knowledge about him scantily and poorly.

The final reflection:

The research I have made gives some information on a life and work of the photographer Eadweard Muybridge, but it does not provide details that should be included. As the first research during my educational path I consider this post as a short text that should be developed and disscused more in depth.

Comments

  1. It would be good to discuss more clearly what and how many sources you looked at for your research here. You also could discuss some other facts you discovered. There is some good reflection on your research practise.
