Building a portfolio website
Hello!
In today's post I would start creating step by step a portfolio website to showcase major project as an assessment for Digital Arts course at my University.
To begin with I will use :
- Wix Website Editor to create my Portfolio website
How to create a website?
Firstly what you have to do is open Wix Website Editor in a new tab in your browser.
Click 'Start Now' then sign up or log in the account that you have already ( remember to keep it professional, don't use ridiculous email addresses or provide personal details)
Now we can create New Site then click Choose A Template, choose the template ( in my case I started looking for Portfolio&CVs templates. The one I have chosen is Personal Blog (photo down below).
To my mind portfolio website should be both my business card and an advert. It should persuade people to visit it again and again and have a look further in my projects. The portfolio has to be cohesive and clear; the potential viewer must be sure who's is the author or which topic is that web page related to.
The template I have chosen is a great representation of features I believe are the most important and distinct I looked at. That particular example is subtle and sleek, the white colour reflects its sophistication. There is no necessary object s or complicated layout that may the guest feel overwhelmed by the general design.

In the next photo you can see that I added my personal information on 'About me' page. I justified the text use a simple, clear font ( size 18) and change the tile for a catchy, friendly greeting.
On the front page - 'Home' section I wrote a short bio to introduce myself to others.
Above the text I uploaded my photo and checked the spelling and grammar in my all texts.
Thanks for your attention. :D
Discuss more in-depth why you have chosen this template. Have you looked at other templates before making your decision? Why have you decided not to use these? I do feel like your homepage needs further development as it does not clearly reflect your progression route. As you won't have blog posts on your website at this point, consider how you can use imagery to reflect your progression route.
