Blog Buddy
Hello!
This year as you know from the first post on my blog, I have changed my life completely starting the International Year Zero in Media as a student at DMU in Leicester. That decision is a mind-opening experience that gave me so many possibilities to develop my language skills, find yourself in a new place, learn to live independently and meet many creative people from around the world.
In today’s special post I would like to introduce you to my Blog buddy that I met at campus one day and at the very last Digital Arts virtual session I had the opportunity to work with.
Please greet warmly my new guest and a classmate Maria from Karatzia's blog
This is Maria a young 18 years old, friendly girl from Cyprus. This year she moved out from her home country and started her IYZ in Media in the UK in Leicester. She choose this course to fulfill her life dreams to become a journalist and create her own TV or radio show. Studying Journalism will prepare Maria for taking interviews from famous people and discovering the latest news. She believes that writing a blog is her first step in the further career that would be beneficial.

In a free time Maria loves to play the piano and the guitar occasionally. Music is a huge part of her life, but we should't forget that; she is also keen on taking photos of nice landscapes or object that she found interesting.
Here is one of them:
Maria about the photo :
This picture for me it causes me a lot of emotions like calm and love because at this place I heard a lot of stories that touched my soul. Moreover, when I watch this image I do a lot of thoughts for our life.
I took this picture in the summer of 2019 at 6:16 am.It was the best morning view that I had ever seen. This picture was taken at the monastery of Santa Marina's. The night before we slept there, this monastery is in Greece.
It's been only a few days since I met Maria, but we worked together for a couple of hours and had that pleasure to get know about each other a little more. I am so happy that this year we study together and I can't wait to face another task or challenge with her.
Good introduction. Well done.
